Platted in 1938 there is a small quaint strip on Panama City Beach that is home to quaint little old Florida beach houses and a cute "Little Seaside" spot. Bid-A-Wee is one of the few dedicated beaches on the beach front allowing the community to enjoy an unbroken landscape. The breeze off the water is amazing.
Durring World War II the U.S Coastguard began beach patrols on horseback and the old Hallaway House hotel on Bid-A-Wee beach was used as beach patrol headquarters. No more horses, just big colorful unbrellas and families enjoying each other on the quiet beach. Bid-A-Wee is definitely a relax in your beach chair and kick your feet up kind of place.
